The Roulette Martingale
March 13 , 2007
Online roulette is a very fun game to play but it is always
more enjoyable when you win. One of the oldest systems that players use when
playing online roulette is the Martingale. Let's look at the Martingale as
it applies to online roulette.
When playing online roulette and using the Martingale system
you double your bet after every loss, and you go back to your starting bet
after a win. For example, let's say that you start by betting one dollar on
black. You have decided to stick with black until it hits and Martingale
after every loss. In this particular online roulette example red hits five
times in a row.
Your first bet costs you 1 dollar, your second 2 dollars,
your third 4 dollars, your fourth 8 dollars and your fifth 16 dollars. Your
sixth bet now costs you 32 dollars and if it wins you pick up a profit of
one dollar. If you run into a really bad streak with a Martingale it can get
pretty scary.
If you happen to just play for that one dollar profit and lose
9 in a row your 10th bet would cost you 512 dollars. That is a lot of money
to risk for just one dollar in profit and it gets much worse if the losing
streak continues since it doubles every time.
