Online Roulette Offers Plenty of Options and Excitement

There are few games that you can find at an online casino that offer the wagering options and excitement that can be found at the roulette tables. From straight bets, to single number wagers with big payouts, roulette is a game that offers something for everyone!

The even money bet is the most popular form of roulette wagering. This is where a gambler wagers on red or black, odd or even, high or low, or various groups of numbers that will, in the end, give him the even money shot at winning the spin.

A straight bet is also popular but with far longer odds. This is where a gambler picks a single number in the hopes of the ball landing in it on the wheel for a fantastic payout of 35 to 1. There are few thrills in gambling as great as hitting a straight bet at the roulette table.

A split bet is a way to “hedge” a straight bet somewhat as it is a wager on two adjacent numbers that will pay out at 17 to 1 if successful. A variation of this wager is known as a street bet that is with three numbers with a payout of 11 to 1.

A corner bet is on a block of four numbers and pays out at 8 to 1 while a line bet pays out at 5 to 1 with a total of six numbers wagered on with 2 adjacent rows.

Keep in mind that European wheels are far more advantageous to gamblers than American wheels. A European wheel has a 2.7 percent house edge while an American wheel has a house edge of 5.26. The difference is that an American wheel has a zero and a double zero green slot while a European wheel simply has a zero slot.
